Reassessment

Reassessment is measuring the same participant on a capability more than once, so the change in score can be trusted. It is what keeps a verified signal current as roles change, and it only works if each attempt uses a different but equally hard variant. Hand someone the same questions again and a higher score might just mean they remembered the answers.
