What Ambient sees. What it never sees.

The privacy contract, in plain words. This is the part we most want you to read.

Ambient works because you let it read your work. That only makes sense if the deal is completely clear, so here it is, no fine print.

What Ambient sees

Only the tools you connect. If you connect Gmail and Slack, Ambient reads what you produced there: emails you sent, messages you wrote. It turns those into signals: moments where a skill showed up, scored and dated. Outside your connected tools, Ambient sees nothing. Not your files, not your photos, not your browser.

Who sees your data

You do. First, and by default, only.

If you signed in with a personal email, you're in solo mode: no one else sees your scores. Full stop.

If you signed in with a work email, you choose a visibility tier, and you can change it anytime:

Just for me: no scores flow to your team. Only basic app-usage stats.

Anonymous in cohort: your scores join team averages and are never shown individually.

Visible growth: your manager sees your scores, computed numbers only, and can help you grow faster.

Even at the most open tier, your company only ever sees computed scores. Never your messages, never your emails, never the content behind your activity.

What never leaves you

Your raw content. The actual emails, messages, files, and conversations Ambient reads stay with you. What travels, when you choose to share, are scores: numbers computed from the work, not the work itself.

Your controls

Pause Ambient anytime. Disconnect any tool anytime. Delete everything, anytime. And any sharing you turn on, you can turn off the same way, immediately.

We describe Ambient as a big mirror: it shows you yourself, and it reports to no one else unless you say so. You already wear a ring that reads your sleep and shows the results to you alone. This is that, for your career.
